This is a one year broad based full time course providing excellent IT skills training for those intending to work in the IT industry in areas such as using computer applications, networking, technical support, Helpdesk, software and hardware installation, computer programming, operating systems, multimedia and web-page design etc.
The course also provides a foundation and path for those intending to further study at a diploma and degree level and at University.
However, there are no formal prerequisites for mature age entrants. But good general PC skills and an aptitude for Information Technology are desirable.
Certificates I, II and III are not formal prerequisites for admission to Certificate IV. This programme has 12 subjects and one or more elective competencies like Technical Support, Website development, Programming, Multimedia, Client Support etc. |
